Family Planning

Provides quality Family Planning and Gynecological care and services according to protocols.
Completes exam and identifies normal and abnormal findings.
Appropriately diagnoses and treats per protocol.
Administers medications as needed.
Refers clients with abnormal conditions or other medical problems outside the scope of practice for PPSE.
Provides patient education as needed.
Documents clearly all client care and follow-up according to protocols; including: patient history, physical findings, assessment, treatment and education in client’s medical record. Also documents follow-up in client’s medical record and on appropriate logs along with recording services provided and related diagnoses on charge tickets. 
Lab Work


Productivity &amp; Management

Maintains busy clinic flow, helps other staff as needed. Willing to work-in clients as requested.
Completes thorough, accurate charting. Works in an efficient manner and completes tasks and projects on time.


Maintains and protects client confidentiality at all times.
Serves as a resource for clinical staff and provides back-up to the Medical Director as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:


Education: 
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing 
• Active Nursing License for GA, AL or MS

Description :

i) Located in the scenic mountains of western North   Carolina, we are seeking caring employees to be a part of a friendly team, committed to excellence. This position will perform evaluations and treatments in the home setting.
ii) Our Home Health covers several counties in our service area of western North Carolina. Diagnoses include orthopedic post-operative cases, CVA's, and general rehabilitation.
iii) The Occupational Therapist (OT) is a licensed professional who evaluates patients; plans and implements treatment plans based on the evaluation, and educates patients, families and staff.
iv) He/She exercises initiative and judgement in delegating appropriate duties to support personnel and reevaluates and modifies treatment programs as necessary.
v) He/She performs appropriate administrative duties and participates in educational programs as assigned or approved by the Clinical Coordinator and/or Director of Rehabilitation Services.
vi) Incumbent reports to Clinical Coordinator and/or Director of Rehabilitation Services. Positions supervised by the incumbent: OT students, volunteers and rehab support personnel. Hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm.

EDUCATION: 

&middot; Graduation from an accredited program of Occupational Therapy education.

SKILLS: 

&middot; Requires skills gained from successful completion of OT education plus basic supervisory and management skills and clinical competency in variety of areas.

EXPERIENCE: 

&middot; None required. One to two years experience in general hospital preferred.

CERTIFICATIONS: 

&middot; Occupational Therapy license in North Carolina and current NC Driver''s License required. BLS certification within 3 months of hire in date and maintain thereafter.

OTHER: 

&middot; Must possess motor vehicle record acceptable to our Company's auto liability insurance carrier.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 

&middot; Physically, the OT is required to assist in moving and lifting patients; to push/pull heavy objects (e.g. wheelchairs or stretchers); to stay on his/her feet for long periods; to bend and stoop; and to reach above shoulder height. Patients may vary in size from as little as 80 pounds to as large as 400 pounds and may be totally dependent in all aspects of daily living or relatively independent. There is limited exposure to infectious materials and diseases. Corrected hearing and vision to within normal limits.
